Junior PEGA Developer

We are looking for motivated Junior PEGA Developers to join a major, long-term German client project. The project runs on a modern Low-Code platform, where we automate complex business processes and build scalable, reusable components.

The engagement comes with a stable, multi-year runway, an agile international setup, and a team genuinely focused on professional growth.

This is not a typical “junior position with limited, low-impact tasks” — here you will be building real production systems used by end clients, with meaningful responsibility from day one and active mentoring from senior colleagues.

Prior PEGA knowledge is not required: we start with a structured internal training program, including preparation for official PEGA certifications.

If you are looking for a technology with high market demand, a relatively small expert pool, and a clear path from junior developer to internationally sought-after senior architect within a few years, this role is built exactly for that trajectory.

Ihr Profil

We are looking for a junior developer with solid software engineering fundamentals, genuine curiosity for the Low-Code world, and the motivation to deeply learn a new platform.

Several of the following points should describe you:

  • 0–3 years of development experience (internships, junior roles, or first full-time positions count). PEGA experience is not required – entry-level candidates are fully welcome.
  • Strong programming fundamentals with an object-oriented mindset (Java, C#, Python, or similar), whether gained at university, through formal training, or during early professional experience.
  • Nice to have, but not mandatory: exposure to any Low-Code / No-Code, BPM, RPA, or automation platform (e.g. Camunda, Appian, OutSystems, Mendix, UiPath, Power Automate, ServiceNow, Bizagi).
  • Basic web development knowledge, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST API concepts.
  • Basic database knowledge, including SQL queries and fundamental data modeling concepts.
  • Strong learning orientation with openness to mastering new technologies, methodologies, and pursuing certifications.
  • Agile mindset with experience or interest in team-based work, code review culture, shared delivery ownership, and familiarity with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong German language skills (B2–C1), both spoken and written, as a significant part of project communication takes place in German.
  • Confident English communication skills (B2+) for team collaboration and technical documentation.
  • A degree in IT, engineering, or another related technical field (BSc / MSc) is considered a plus, but not exclusive — relevant experience and the right developer mindset matter more.

Ihre Aufgaben

As a Junior PEGA Developer joining our team, you will gradually take ownership of the following responsibilities — initially with mentoring support, then with increasing autonomy as your experience grows:

  • PEGA Low-Code application development: modeling and implementing case types, workflows, and business processes on the PEGA Platform.
  • Building reusable components: developing functional modules used across multiple applications — a key strategic element of this project.
  • UI development: designing and implementing user interfaces with the PEGA Constellation framework to create modern, accessible applications.
  • Integration development: implementing REST APIs, external system integrations, and data connections.
  • Testing and quality assurance: writing unit tests, fixing bugs, and actively participating in code reviews.
  • Active participation in agile ceremonies: contributing meaningfully to daily standups, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and demos — not just attending them.
  • Internal training and certification: completing the PEGA Certified System Architect (CSA) certification during the onboarding phase, fully funded by the company with dedicated preparation time provided.
  • Documentation writing: preparing functional and technical documentation related to the components and solutions you build.
  • Receiving mentoring: participating in regular knowledge-sharing sessions with senior PEGA developers and architects, supported by an individual professional development plan.
